I'm an owl!

Your Power Bird is an Owl

You are beyond wise. You are so smart, you're almost prophetic.
Your inner voice always speaks the truth, and you take the time to listen to it.
You are good at seeing who people are... including the darkness of others.
As a result, you tend to have a rather dark - yet realistic - outlook on life.

Inspiring quote...

...on quitting the corporate life...

"Honestly, I do miss the money but not for the price I had to pay. I'm making FAR less money than I did before, and it gets depressing at times, but this is where faith comes in. If we are leading a purpose driven life, and doing what brings us the greatest joy than the money will come. Some of us have to kill an old life in order to birth the right one, and although that is a great deal of work, I have to say it is worth it. I've become more open to possibilities, and I have far more happiness in my life, something a title and a corner office with a window never could give me."

- Stephanie Quilao, Back in Skinny Jeans Blog

This is my life in a nutshell.

National Novel Writing Month!

  • Oct. 16th, 2006 at 8:20 PM
dita
Because I've told myself for years that I can't write a novel and I'm not sure why I decided that, I am thinking of participating in National Novel Writing Month. It starts November 1st and goes until the 30th. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. The whole point is to prove to yourself you can do it and to experience a flurry of writing without the perfectionism, the constant editing, and the doubt of wondering if what you produce is any good. It's all about quantity, not quality.

Please join me this November!

I have a question.

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

I can hardly believe it.
